Multiplier event University of Peloponnese
On 12 June 2026, the University of the Peloponnese successfully organized the multiplier event, titled Securing Inclusion: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Security Studies, at the Institute of International Relations in Athens with the aim of disseminating the outcomes and key achievements of the Erasmus+ project. The programme featured presentations outlining the project’s objectives, activities, university interconnectedness and overall scope, as well as an overview of the research conducted by the University of the Peloponnese to explore issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion within current security studies education. Attendees were also introduced to the project’s main deliverables and outputs, highlighting their relevance for higher education institutions and instructors. Particular attention was attributed to the handbook developed through the project, which provides practical guidance, tips and strategies for addressing challenges related to the lack of diversity and inclusion in the teaching of security studies in academia. The event served as a platform for sharing knowledge, fostering discussion, and promoting the adoption of more inclusive approaches within the field.
